MOCHA MONDAY AT PANERA BREAD - CAFFEINE, CARBS & CUTE

The final Mocha Monday of the month was celebrated at Panera Bread.

Their mocha tastes more like a kicked-up hot chocolate, but that suits me just fine.

I also enjoyed one of their very delicious plain bagels and huge cinnamon bun.

CARBS – SUGAR – CHOCOLATE – COFFEE

The breakfast of champions?
More like the breakfast of Champion Monday Conquerors!
To be quite honest, I did not get to eat my bagel & bun until about 3pm because I was having a bit of a Twilight Zone Monday, but I was still able to kick butt today (like a champion).

I was even able to look cute doing so….

Please go to the comments section below and let me know what delicious treat helped you kick Monday's Butt.

MOCHA MONDAY @ TAZA

The moment you step into Taza Coffee & Creme, you know you are entering a special place.
The high ceiling. Those warm paprika red &  autumn gold walls.  The specialty foods neatly placed on the shelves.

Taza, located on Richmond’s beautiful Forest Hill Avenue, offers an array of breakfast & lunch specialities.  My favorites are The Jahnke (yes, like Jahnke Road, which is about a block away from Taza) – a delicious grilled cheese sandwich, the poppy seed bagel (with poppy seeds on the top and bottom half of the bagel)…

…and, of course, their hot mocha.

This delicious drink is smooth & flavorful.   To me, the chocolate flavor is more prevalent than the coffee flavor, but the blend is still evident.

Taza also has Open Mike Poetry night.  I’ve attended two, and participated in one and the atmosphere is cozy and family like.  It’s almost similar to eating dinner at your cousin’s cool house while everyone take turn reciting passages of their poetry.

Stop by Taza, enjoy some mocha and poetry. Let me know what you think in the comment’s section below.
